Alfred is an 83 year old man with a fixed income of under $12,000 a year, trying to live out the rest of his years in the home in which he raised his family.
Easier said than done.
The permit office of Austin, Texas has no record of his home ever being built. Further, because of the dreadful condition of his home, Alfred has been advised not to contact the permit office, as they are likely to condemn his home for health and safety code violations that he is in no position to financially address.
He is desperately hoping an organization can help him before he is forced to evacuate. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to help him with this project…
