Upon making introductions to our newest team addition on Monday, we were prompted with the question: What do you love most about working at IACT? Memories and faces began to flood my mind. I have been with this organization nearly ten years now, so there was a lot of emotional data to review.
My response the question was simple: “Our clients”, I said. The next few days had me more present to the scattered thank you cards and well-wishes, and photos, and satisfaction surveys displayed on the walls of my cubical. One in particular stood out.
I had visited the Lowes the day before Mr. Lowe suddenly passed away and snapped this photograph of them on the couch. “I can’t even remember the last time we had our picture taken”, Ms. Lowe has said, as I was preparing to take the shot.
This photograph was the last picture ever captured of this sweet couple, and it was proudly displayed at Mr. Lowe’s memorial service. Every day is an opportunity to touch someone’s heart, and I am so deeply grateful to have a job that forwards such a lifestyle.
