Alb and Emma Brown are one of the lovely homeowners who will be in our Hands on Housing Spring Blitz event next month. I had the privilege of getting to know them this past month and loved hearing their story. They have lived in their home for over 22 years and have been longtime Austin residents. Music is Alb’s passion. He has been a musician his whole life and has played in the Bells of Joy for many years. He talked about his many years playing at Austin City Limits and playing shows with Willie Nelson. He now spends his time recording music in his home and teaching piano lessons. Emma is a retired cook from UT. She is very involved in her church, loves exercising and is still a wonderful cook! She even made us some of her famous banana bread. These two are just one of the families we have the privilege of knowing. All of our homeowners are so special and we are so thrilled we have the opportunity to give them a freshly painted house that they can be proud of!
