At iACT, we have great appreciation for the wonderful volunteers who make our service work possible! In this Volunteer Spotlight Sarah Neusch tells us a little more about herself.

Q: Where are you from? How long have you been in Austin?
A: Born and raised in the Austin area, but just returned after living in LA for 9 years.
How long have you volunteered with iACT?
This past summer was my first! 2 weeks helping out at summer camp and one field trip day.
What made you want to volunteer with iACT?
I love kids and love doing any sort of cross-cultural experience.
What do you enjoy the most about working with iACT?
The unique conversations you get to have with kids from all over the world about every day happenings.
What’s the most challenging thing about working with iACT that you have experienced?
Wishing I spoke more languages…
What’s the most rewarding thing about working with iACT that you experienced?
- Having kids run up to you with pictures they drew of you or letters they wrote to you. 🙂
Would you encourage others to perform similar volunteer work with iACT?
Yes, I would and I have! I got my husband to take a day off work to volunteer at a field trip day and he said it was worth it!
