“Hope is not a dream, but a way of making dreams become reality.”
Cardinal L. J. Suenens

The Annual Hope Awards Gala and fundraiser will soon be a reality and iACT is humbled by the opportunity we have to honor three inspiring Central Texans.

The 2011 Hope Award winners are:

Bishop John McCarthy, who led the Catholic Diocese of Austin for many years; singer-songwriter Sara Hickman, who is the Official State Musician of Texas; and Rev. Joseph C. Parker, Jr. of David Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, a pioneering community leader and social activist.

The Hope Awards will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the University of Texas Alumni Center.

Dr. Betty Sue Flowers will be the Keynote Speaker for the 2011 Hope Awards program.
Dr. Flowers is a former Board Member of iACT and is internationally recognized for her visionary leadership of the LBJ Presidential Library; for her many media projects, including the legendary series Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth, produced by Bill Moyers; and as a professor, poet and consultant.

Plan on joining us for an evening of genuine hope!
