Dear Friends,

We are listening, and what we are hearing from many of you is that we have been too silent for too long in voicing support, care, and compassion for Palestinian and Muslim people. For that, we are truly sorry.

We want to do better. Thank you for the courage and conviction that led you to share your disappointment in us with such honesty.

Soon we are sending out a statement in response to the stabbing of Zacharia Doar. Our statement will not be perfect, and it will not take away the feeling that we have shown too little compassion and support up to this point for our Palestinian and Muslim neighbors. Still, we hope that it will be a small step in beginning to regain your trust.
