We are expanding our internship program here at iACT, and have 2 exciting new positions for the upcoming Spring 2015 semester! Both internships will be from January to May and 10-15 hours a week, with flexibility around exams and holidays.

Community Events Intern

The Community Events Intern will support iACT’s Development Director in the planning, coordination, and follow-up for all of our spring events, as well as in processing donations, communicating with sponsors, and completing grants. We are looking for an intern with strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.

This internship is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience in the non-profit sector and fundraising. After completing this internship, you will be able to add the following skills to your résumé: donation solicitation and management, event coordination, grant research and writing, experience working with diverse communities, and many others!

Client Services Intern

This position is perfect for a student hoping to learn more about a career in social services and/or non-profits. You will, under the supervision of the HoH Program Specialist, be able to interact with clients and assist in case management. The intern will help manage warranty issue reports from clients, with client intakes, and to process non-sensitive client documents.

The ideal applicant will be hardworking, independent, and will possess strong communication, organization and time-management skills. Previous experience and bilingual Spanish-English are both preferred, but not required. After completing this internship, you will be able to add the following skills to your resume: client relations, case management and experience working with diverse populations.

If you are interested in applying for either position, please e-mail your resume to Lubna Zeidan, Programs Director, at lzeidan@interfaithtexas.org. If you have any questions about your application before you are ready to submit, please contact Alyssa Haney, Outreach Coordinator, at ahaney@interfaithtexas.org. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
