If you love reading insightful and inspiring books, check out the Spirituality Book Club. The Spirituality Book Club is open to the community and suggestions for works to read and discuss in the coming months are always welcome.

Our next meeting is one week from today on May 12th at 7:00 p.m. at Scholtzsky’s at 218 S. Lamar. Please come with a suggestion for a June book.

We also have our Red Bench Host Training coming up on May 21, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Austin Family Life Center located on 1300 Lavaca St., Austin, Texas 78701. The training will be held in the Garrison Chapel on the 1st Floor.

The following week we will meet at the Fo Guang Shan Xiang Yun Temple, Tuesday, May 27 at 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., for this month’s Red Bench conversation on the topic of Gratitude. The temple is located at 6720 N Capital of Texas Highway.

The Red Bench is an on-going dialogue program designed to address the most pressing needs of our time: improving interfaith understanding and civil discourse in our society.
