At iACT, we have great appreciation for the wonderful volunteers who make our service work possible! In this Volunteer Spotlight iACT Volunteer Tammy Clark tells us a little more about herself.
Q: How long have you been in Austin?
I have lived in Austin for 42 years since I was 13 years old!
Q: How long have you volunteered with iACT?
I started volunteering with IACT in August of 2022 as a member of NCL
Q: What made you want to volunteer with iACT?
I asked to be a philanthropy liaison and IACT was the one NCL chose for me! Once I became connected through IACT I wanted to do more. I began donating portable toilet service for volunteers for hands on housing and raise the roof!
Q: What do you enjoy most about working with iACT?
All of the people that I have met through IACT are just so amazing!
Q: What’s the most challenging thing about working with iACT that you experienced?
Not being to help as much as I would like to help. It’s hard to get enough volunteers to do everything I would like to do more!
Q: What’s the most rewarding thing about working with iACT that you experienced?
We volunteered to help clean up and do landscaping for a house last October. The lady that lived in the house was so appreciative! It was so nice to meet her and help her!
Q: Why would you encourage others to perform similar volunteer work with iACT?
Volunteering of any kind promotes community and selflessness. I personally volunteer because I feel extremely blessed. I want to give my blessings back to others that need help!
