Andres Garcia, iACT Communications Coordinator
Q: Where are you from?
A: I’m from San Antonio.
Q: How long have you been in Austin?
A: I’ve been in Austin for about 6 years. I arrived in 2017 for undergrad and have been here ever since.
Q: What do you do at iACT?
A: I am the Communications Coordinator at iACT. I manage iACT’s communications efforts – from newsletters to social media.
Q: What’s the most challenging thing about the work you do at iACT?
A: There is a lot to juggle all at once. iACT offers several different community programs and events, which translates to a lot of dates for me to keep up with. I am blessed with a helpful and supportive team!
Q: What’s the most rewarding thing about the work you do at iACT?
A: I find that meeting the folks we serve is most rewarding. Being able to learn about the impact iACT has on communities firsthand is deeply rewarding.
Q: Why would you encourage others to support the work of iACT?
A: I believe iACT is an organization that walks the walk. The programming we offer is second to none when it comes to connecting with and serving our communities. Furthermore, the folks that devote their time to serving iACT work with genuine passion and care for the organization’s mission!
