Most of us are familiar with the saying, “Don’t judge a book by its’ cover.” Never were truer words uttered. For as long as I remember, people never guessed: that I am multilingual, multiethnic, & just MULTI- multi (across the board). Life has had a propensity to lead in the direction of roads less traveled by the majority. Teaching TEFL abroad happened, so did the study of social work. Overall wellness/well-being has been a person area of interest and self-study.
All roads seemed to have led to this position (social worker and health & Wellness instructor in English (to speakers of other languages)). The Mission of iACT seems to be one I have been already living: engaged in dialogue through services and celebration towards peace and respect. This work is a homecoming and amalgamation of what has come before, all rolled up in one position.
We are ramping up for the start of our English Health and Wellness offerings. We are contacting potential clients to actively engage with our community. This year, we have our full team on the scene, offering services in multiple languages. We are working on refining and fine tuning our course materials to meet the varying needs of students.
