As you may be aware, Jews worldwide, and specifically in Austin, are mourning the losses of five Israeli Jews who were killed last week in the West Bank.  The Austin Jewish Community is hosting a memorial service to remember the Fogel family in reflective prayer, silence, and song–it will take place Tuesday, March 22nd, at 7pm, at the Dell Jewish Community Campus (7300 Hart Lane).

iACT strongly believes that Israelis, Palestinians, Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others with concern and passion for the future of the Middle East should focus their energies on respectful, candid dialogue and reflection, of the sort that we support through our Red Bench program, among others.  This event will give the community the opportunity to pause in the midst of the chaos and consider how all peoples with ties to the Middle East can build bonds of friendship and peaceful co-existence.
