Do you know that the graduation rate of refugee kids in the Austin School District is about 19%? Would you like to help change that?

iACT is seeking bright, dedicated volunteers who can help tutor refugee children at a drop-in homework help center in north Austin.  If you can devote two hours every other Saturday morning, you will make a difference in a child’s life.

Refugees escape violence and oppression in their home countries and are resettled in the US legally through the State Department. With the great hope of a better future for their children comes great difficulty when interrupted schooling and limited English keeps the children from doing well. Let’s work together to make it possible for every refugee child to graduate from high school.
